FML

I have to admit I am feeling a little failed by all my efforts to lose weight. I work out so hard and try my best to eat right, but yet I am not losing. My body still looks much the same to me as well. I know many people say not to depend on the number on the scale, but it is hard not to. I never measured myself, which I probably should have. I just never remember quite where to do the measuring! I just don't get it. I always read "Success Stories" about people who have lost weight and they seem to always do it so effortlessly. "I walked on the treadmill 30 minutes a day for a month and lost 30 pounds!" Seriously, screw you. Just needed to vent my anger a little I guess.

New attempt at weight loss

This past week I have been using a new website called www.myfitnesspal.com. It is really user-friendly. I just enter in all the foods I eat for the day along with what exercise I have done and it calculates how many calories I should be eating based on that information. For a while now people have been telling me that I don't eat enough, so I am going to give this a whirl and see how it goes. Wish me luck!!

Wow

Okay seriously. I need to buckle down on this weight loss stuff. I keep going up on the scale instead of going down. This is ridiculous!! I know that exercise is not the problem. I work out almost every single day for 30 - 90 minutes. I have also been making an effort to change up the work outs I do. So I am not concerned about that. It has to be my diet. I feel that I eat really well during the week. It is ALWAYS the weekend that screws me. There is always eating out, drinking, etc.. I know I need to drink less and eat out less. It just gets hard when we have plans all the time. I have to control myself whether I am with friends or not. That is the bottom line. Now if i can just follow my own advice....

Post Vacation Shape Up

So here I am post-vacation. Feeling rather heavy the past couple days I have to admit. We got in some activity most days, but not enough to cover all the eating and drinking. Time to get back on the wagon. I have started Jillian Michael's 30-Day shred DVD. It is killer! It is only a 20 minute workout, but it is tough! Jillian really pushes you along though and it is very helpful. I hope to get some good results! I will be weighing in for the first time since before I left this Wednesday and hope it isn't too bad!!

Frustrating!!

Another week of frustrations. I was up 0.3. I know that is tiny, but I really think I should be losing like crazy. I have been working out for almost 2 hours a day and still not seeing results. I have increased the amount of cardio and strength training I do, so I thought it would really boost my weight loss. I also really feel like I eat pretty well. I do have slip ups, but by no means are they ever that tremendous. ARGH!

I am going to start a new DVD called 30-Day Shred by Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser. My sister has done it and she said that it has changed her body dramatically, so I am going to give it a whirl. Why not, right?

On another note, I am going to Florida in 4 days! WOOHOO!! I am sure I will suffer some gains while I am there, but I will be back on it when I get back. Hopefully I will see some losses at the end of this month.

Another disappointing weigh in

I weighed in today and was only down 0.2. It is a loss, but god, why so small?! I have increased my workouts and have been pretty careful with what I have been eating. The first time I did WW, it seemed like the weight was just falloing off. This time I am having a hell of a time!! Is my body used to WW? Maybe I need to rethink my whole weight loss strategy......Hmm.

Fricking lame

This post is going to be the complete opposite of my last one I hate to say. I was up one pound today which is super frustrating when I was down 3 pounds last week. What gives? I didn't do that bad over the past weekend and I am still using the elliptical in the mornings in addition to my lunchtime workout. Which equates to be about 50 - 70 minutes of exercise a day. That includes both cardio and strength training. Ugh, not quite sure what else I can do to lose weight! Hopefully next week will be better.
