Okay, so I started a blog

So I thought maybe having a blog would help me on my weight loss journey. Maybe writing down my feelings and my progress would be inspirational? We'll see I guess. Plus my friend Mandy has been bugging my about blogging. So I decided to do it. :P

So I have been doing Weight Watchers ever since October 1st with a few other girls. So far I have lost 5 pounds. Not anywhere near as much as I wanted to lose by now, but we all have roadblocks, right?

I work out 6-7 days a week. My workouts times range from 25 minutes to 2 hours some days. I have started to become quite the jogger/runner. I never thought I could be a runner with my asthma, but now that I have it completely controlled, I am doing it! I have set a goal of doing a 5K this spring/summer, so that is keeping me motivated. Otherwise I use the elliptical, strength train and walk along with the running. I will use the stationary bike here and there, but I just feel like it doesn't burn as many calories as I would like it to.

I think, like most people, my biggest downfall is food. I seriously come from a long line of snackers. I swear that is what my family does best. Snack snack snack. I am trying to stop doing that. I do fairly well with it now. But I am a pizza lover and will never give it up. Sorry, I want to enjoy eating stuff once in a while. :) I have cut way back on my drinking too. I only drink on the weekends and try to keep it to one day a week if it is possible. Obviously weekend plans can screw that up, but it is better than how much I used to drink!
